We want our customers to be happy and a business policy can help avoid misunderstandings. Please review them and let us know if you have questions.
Shopping Cart Orders: If you experience some problems placing online orders, be aware of the following. Once an item is placed in the cart you may change the quantity and click update. However do not use the check mark box to the right which says "Select". This option selects items to be deleted.
If you place the order and need another item, you may place another order and we will try to combine them, including adjusting S&H so you're not paying twice. Please note you want second order added to your first order. Bear in mind we ship quickly so we will need the added order immediately, otherwise it will be treated as a separate order.
Help and Advice: Product information and measurments provided on the website are approximate. We do our best to keep up with changes but it is not always possible to be perfect due to the volume of products and changes by manufacturers. If you have a project requiring exact measurements then you may want to call and verify. We do our best advising people with product information and use, however we will not be held responsible for product which doesn't fit your project needs for any reason. Hardware is a "hands on" affair and until you have it in hand, there is no way to know if it will work. Products can be returned but shippng and handling is not refundable.
Shipping and Handling: S&H is non-refundalble, no exception of any kind. Shipping method is the sole choice of Rufkahrs Hardwaretee unless expedited shipping at addition cost is chosen. See Expedited Shipping in next the paragraph. Standard shipping orders are shipped via UPS or US Postal. We usually ship the day an order is placed. Orders Placed Monday thru Friday, after 2:30 pm central time, may ship the following work day. Orders placed on weekends and holidays will ship the following work day. We strive to keep all product in stock but shortages can sometimes alter this schedule.
Expedited Shipping: Available for an added charge. We will quote expedited service, just request it via your shopping cart order, email or by phone. You may specify a spending limit for expedited shipping as it can be expensive depending on package size, weight and destination. Please be sure to give us a good contact number to reach you so we can call with a quote. Expedited orders received after 2:30 pm central time Monday through Friday may ship the following day but we do our best to ship the same day you order. Shipping Outside the US is available on our site for some countries, if not just request for a quote in the shoping cart using an accepted country but note your actual country and we will quote shipping and handling to your non listed country. S&H to non-US customers may be adjusted up or down in some cases. We will contact you if their is an increase.
Returns Refunds and Exchanges: We are happy to accept returns but returns must be made within 30 days of reciept. 30 day return policy does not apply to replaced lost shipments. Call or email us for a return authorization. Returned items must be in original packaging and in undamaged unused condition along with a copy of the original reciept. Refunds will be issued for product only, Refunds of larger orders or custom orders may not be refundable depending on the type product ordered, especially product quantities that put us in a severe overstock position, so call if unsure. S&H is non-refundable. Be sure returns are properly packed and bagged to avoid packing material invading products. Any product requiring clean up is subject to a $20.00 service charge, an example would be packing peanuts caught in ball bearings of an item. Cost to return items is customer?s responsibility, no exception. Refusing delivery of UPS or USPS deliveries as a means return is forbidden and subject to $20.00 service fee. Use of Rufkahrs UPS account as means return is also forbidden and subject to a $20.00 service charge plus the cost of return shipping. Product exchanges are treated as new orders and are subject to S&H. In the event of a lost package which is verified by UPS or USPS as delivered, the lost package may or may not be replaced. However refund/returns of replacement product is not permitted, even within the return period.
Payment Methods: We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover and Amex. Be sure to include the person?s name responsible for paying the credit card, even if the card has a company name. We don't ship orders not associated with a person's name. This is to protect cardholders and ourselves. Checks drawn on US banks are acceptable but must include all name and address information. We do not accept paypal or CODs.

software is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it
cannot be read over the internet..
Damaged or Lost Shipments: We pack to avoid damage but it does happen. Inspect your shipment within 24 hours or sooner if possible and report any damage immediately. Be sure to keep all damaged product along with damaged packaging as UPS or others carriers sometimes want to inspect it. Failure to do so in a timely manner may result in loss of insurance coverage.
Taxes and Government Fees: Missouri & Tennessee residents must pay sales tax. Resale numbers must be presented before ordering as sales tax can't be refunded after the fact. Any government fees imposed by non-US countries must be paid by the customer and not by Rufkahrs. These would includes such things as customs fees.
S&H Rates and Minimums: We do not have a minimum order requirement but there is for S&H. It is not practical for us to sell a 50¢ item and charge a dollar for shipping. The shipping of small orders is a service for customers who want it.

Shipping and Handling may raise or lower, according to package weight and size. You will be contacted for any S&H increase. Delivery times vary to non-US locations due to customs, distance, remote areas and other factors. One to two weeks is typical but some orders can take up to six weeks for delivery.
