Product Returns require a return authorizaton. Please call or email us to start your return. We are happy to accept returns for items purchased through our store with a few exeptions detailed below. Returns will be accepted up to 30 days following the date your order was delivered. Returned items must be in their original packaging and in undamaged and unused condition. Include aalong a copy of the original purchase reciept with your return shipment. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility. Refunds will be issued for product only. Original shipping and handling fees are not refundable.
Product Exchanges require a return authorization. Please call or email us to obtain an exchange authorization. Exchange Returns are treated and subject to the same terms as a product return. Exchange credit will be issued for products only. As with regular returns, original shipping and handling fees are not refundable.
In certain cases our standard return policy does not apply. In the event of a lost package which is verified by UPS or USPS, items reshipped* as replacement for a lost in transit package can not be returned for a refund. Larger orders or custom orders may not be returnable/refundable depending on the type of product ordered, especially product quantities that might put us in a severe overstock position, so please call us before ordering if you are unsure.
Return Do's And Don'ts
Do be sure that your returns are properly packed and bagged to avoid return transit damage or packing material invading products. Any returned products requiring clean up are subject to a $20.00 service charge (example - packing peanuts crushed and caught in ball bearings of an item).
Don't refuse delivery of UPS or USPS deliveries as a means to return. This practice is forbidden and subject to a $20.00 service fee.
Don't use hardwaretree.com's UPS account as means to return. This is forbidden and subject to a $20.00 service charge plus the cost of the return shipping.
*In the event of a lost package which is verified by UPS or USPS as delivered, Hardwaretree.com may or may not choose to replace lost product.
